A Lèse Majesté Amendment and the grassroots restoration of the U.S. Constitution to full force and effect

According to Wikipedia, "lèse majesté" is the crime of violating majesty, an offence against the dignity of a reigning sovereign or against a state. Of course, in the minds of most tyrants, for example good old "L'Etat, c'est moi" (I am the state) Louis XIV, there is no difference between the state and the tyrant's person.

In the "old days", the offense was considered so serious, that the punishment was the most severe and torturous possible, such as skinning alive, or drawing and quartering. The obvious intent of lese majeste laws was to sufficiently terrorize the general populace that they would not dare entertain thoughts of changing the established social order — which is, in reality, merely a pecking order — with a revolution.

Since the advent of more modern theories of government, specifically since the implementation of the U.S. Constitution with its Bill of Rights and the constitutions of the various states, it is past time to reconsider the concept of lese majeste and reverse the roles of who is the state/majesty/rule and who is the subject. For example, the beginning of ARTICLE II of the Colorado Constitution, immediately followed by Section 1, says: "In order to assert our rights, acknowledge our duties, and proclaim the principles upon which our government is founded, we declare: SECTION I. That all political power is vested in and derived from the people; that all government, of right, originates from the people, is founded upon their will only, and is instituted solely for the good of the whole."

It may be logically extrapolated from the above quoted portion of Colorado's Constitution what the clear and accurately articulated meaning of the words "We the people" in the Preamble of the U.S. Constitution"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." — is.

It logically follows that, since the advent of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution with its Bill of Rights, the real "sovereign" in American law is the citizenry, aka "we the people". That means under American law, "lèse majesté" is an offense against the dignity of the people, as their sovereignty is expressed in America's founding documents. In America, the ruler/s may not punish the citizens for disrespecting government. Rather, the citizens may punish government officers and employees for disrespecting the people (aka violating the constitution without first amending it pursuant to Article V).

Therefore, I suggest attaching the following "Lèse Majesté" Amendment onto the end of the Preamble of the U.S. Constitution:

"All political power is vested in and derived from the people; all government, of right, originates from the people, is founded upon their will only, and is instituted solely for the good of the whole. It is the wisdom and experience of the people of the United States that governmental power is inherently evil and inevitably corrupting, existing only to grow itself, and functioning as its own means and its own ends. Time and experience have proven it to be a dangerous servant and a fearful master. In a mere two centuries, America has degenerated from a constitutional republic into a full-blown fascist police state wherein wealth and property are routinely stolen from A and redistributed to B. Politicians routinely make false promises of "freebies" to their constituencies in hopes of obtaining their votes, to the detriment and oppression of the productive classes. This is unsustainably dangerous to reciprocal justice between individuals, and therefore intolerable. According to the terms of the Declaration of Independence, the people of the United States have the right to alter or abolish any form of government which has become destructive to the ends of Life, Liberty, the pursuit of Happiness, and reciprocal justice between individuals. Therefore, in an attempt to preserve the original intent of U.S. Constitution, and protect it from systematic deliberate misinterpretation, in an carefully reasoned effort to deter constitutionally-violative behavior on the part of government officers and employees in all three branches of government, and appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of this constitutional republic, solemnly publish and declare, all such constitutionally-violative behavior and deliberate misinterpretation shall automatically constitute the crime of treason punishable by DEATH upon conviction. All legal tender laws, of any sort whatsoever, direct or indirect, are hereby forever abolished. All attempts to introduce legislation creating legal tenders laws of any sort is hereby declared to constitute treason and be punishable by DEATH."
