Of course, you are more than welcome to donate a buck or two just because you want to buy me a beer in appreciation for my work. But the real reason is much better than that.
At current prices, it doesn't cost much to pay the yearly fee (approximately $100) for the webhosting for this site. I would like to set up some sort of trust fund that would generate enough interest to pay for this site in perpetuity long after I'm gone.
It shouldn't take all that much to generate a few hundred bucks per year in interest, which is why the small gifts count so much. To me, even $1 is a sacred trust and a huge boost in morale. And I know you can afford $1, because I can afford $1, and I don't have that much money. If my other websites should happen to generate enough revenue for the purpose I have described here, I will simply set up the trust without further ado and remove the button for this explanatory page on my navigation column.
I am a "common man", and this website is for the common person, the uneducated hoi polloi laboring classes. In my opinion, the information contained on this mashup website — all of it is free to the reader/surfer — makes a truly effective gateway to obtaining a powerful and comprehensive education in individualism, self-ownership and self-determination that is completely lacking in the government schools of the fascist neo-feudalistic "system" we live under.
This website is my contribution to the Culture Wars. Take a look around you. The "world" (Jesus' word for the established socio-economic order) is in a state of complete confusion and panic. Millions of people are losing their jobs, homes and 401k retirement accounts because of the Great Monetary & Taxation Fraud. The dominanant members of the stupid-human pecking order who call themselves "government" aren't going to fix any problems. They and their sick, self-interested behavior ARE the problem. So the "little guy" (includes female gender), or "common man" (includes the female gender) is going to have to re-learn and re-acquire survival and self-sufficiency skills. It is possible to change the current entitlement-minded totalitarian groupthink culture one mind at a time. It is possible to reclaim freedom and a "can do" entrepreneurial spirit one mind at a time. We can accomplish these goals via the Internet, the free flow of information, and the freedom of association and networking it makes possible as never before in human history.
There is no reason humankind should be forced to reinvent the same wheel (individual freedom, the Bill of Rights, etc) over and over. There is no reason we should have to keep going around and around the same mountain ("government" tyranny, violent revolution) forever.The information contained on this website should help our species get over a huge learning curve (coercion-and-deception-based "government").
So, if you appreciate the information contained in this website, and you would like to see it remain available to the whole world in perpetuity, then by all means donate a buck or two. Of course, if you should happen to be well off money-wise, I would love to have a single grant of enough money to make my dream happen. I would be thrilled and grateful to set up some "Rockefellerian"-type of permanent blind trust in the name of such a blessed donor!
